This is one of over twenty pieces that I painted based on a world of my creation.

Look over the top of the fence. Across the street there is a small wood. And beyond the tall pines and thick maples of the wood, a bright field scattered with goldenrod, blackberries, and queens lace lies curled in the embrace of a creek.

Welcome to the thunderdo- I mean blogosphere Mike! I look forward to your post's.
Thanks Jack, still getting the hang of this newfangled blog stuff. Need to brush up on my html and css so I can alter a few things I don't like in the styles, but not sure if it's worth it heh.
I have to do the same. Take your time and get it the way you want it. Yeah, I sometimes wonder if this is worth it also. Who knows?
Welcome aboard, Mr. Mason.
Cool piece! Love the colors.
It takes time to build an audience for these things, so be patient.
If anything, it definitely gets a body drawing more. :)
Thanks Anthony,
Well it does motivate one. However I get sidetracked looking at all the different sites of the various people posting =)
Hello Mike! This is Molly from the Herrick District Library. I have seen some of your other work, but I absolutely am in love with your new stuff. Have been tossing around a chidlren's book idea, have the concept, but wow you have arrived. am linking your blog from mine.
Thanks much Molly - I heard about the state cuts through Diane, hopefully things will turn around in Michigan in the near future.
As for having arrived..well hopefully this stuff will turn into some kind of money soon, or at least do some good for something =)
Thank you for your kind comments.
Hi Mike, I stop by to check in on ya every once in a while. As always, love your work and hope you and the family are well.
Ron
Hey Mike, Checking in. Hope all is well with you.
Hey Ron. Last time I tried to update this blog I couldn't do much..seems I was gone so long without an update that I couldn't go in and update anything. Not sure if they just 'retired' it or what. I can still link to it etc. but I can't actually do anything with it...weird.
I'm back in state at HMI. Heard from Pete lately? we should meet somewhere sometime.
